This is the best customization site ever, it's a PERFECT website layout, helpful community, fantastic software (Bricopacks, and various things using the search)! Is there ANYWAY I can help you? I can't skin windows or anything cool like that, but is there anyway a basic user could help you out?

Thank you for the comment Luis9955. I'm sure that everyone who tries to put his or her time into CrystalXP appreciates your comment. Also welcome to the community! I don't know any specific task that you could help us with, although you can always visit the forum now and then and try to help someone in need. And if you're interested in Photoshop/The Gimp or any other image editing program, there's a lot for you to learn here as well.

You know, we should create some sort of "quest" for everyone to do when they join. It'll be fun! Like "You must venture into the cold world of the penguins, fight your way across dozens of seals and walruses ... until you find the Golden Sword of the Tux King! Bring this sword back, and you will become ... a Jedi Kni --- I mean CrystalXP memeber."

I guess some people are just looking for a place to ask a quick question. They wouldn't be amused if they would have to go through a mini game/quest.

It'd be like getting into a university rugby team... "Ok, now you have to eat the snail, then down the three gallons of..."

I wouldn't mind a mini quest But Gruzz is, as always, right; a quest would probably not be welcome and could well be detrimental to CrystalXP's survival.

This community owns. And no, unfortunantly, I am an epic fail at Gimp. Although I CAN do 3D text, and that's about it...

Hey, nothing wrong with 3D text And I reckon you should try and do some of the Gimp tutorials we have here on crystalxp, and also google (or yahoo/ask/live search) for them, after all, "Practice makes perfect."

Having a quest is a really good idea... It can be used to understand the members interests and capabilities...

I'd like to try the quest if you guys are doing one

Just a little update. PS CS3 didn't work, kept saying it's corrupted

So now I'm using GIMP. Would the PS tuts work with GIMP?

Also I'm gonna try and use GIMPshop version cos it's more similiar to PS.

Where did you download it from? Or did you use a CD?

Gimp is gimp my friend... gimp shop is merely a "skinned Version" and updates to the program are not as consistent.    You wont get it overnight, it takes time.

You are the perfect candidate for Open Office and Gimp... Pirating is noob ... OpenSource can help you.

Keep in mind that discussion regarding piracy etc. is completely forbidden on CrystalXP. It will give you a warning easily, even when just discussing it briefly. I advise you to take a look at the Gimp seriously. It's a very good program. In my opinion some of the best tutorials regarding the Gimp can be found on their own website.

Gimp is cool.
