It`s not that secure to surf with the admin-account, maybe create a internet-account

I'm pretty sure that there is a way to use the user image without turning on the logon screen but it may be  a bit risky (reminds the old Neil

Not sure what your comment here has to do with the topic.    None the less, the point is acurate.

Yes...turning on the logon-screen "Welcome Screen" does dispaly the associated picture with the user account on the Inspirat Start menu.  Then when I disable the logon-screen, log off and then log back on, the picture is gone...only a white box is displayed.

Any other ideas?

With the default, XP theme, the startmenu picture dissappears completely (no white box) so I guess its a problem with the visual style..
