Let me say this up front.. I am on a Corporate Image of XP with some features disabledI have Administrative rightsRegedit Works
I saw this Bricopack and fell in love. I installed in on my Laptop, my home PC, and now my office PC. What's really pissing me off is that the darn Taskbar - while it IS semi transparent - is still the old grey stock taskbar with the old 'Start' button.  :slap:
More things you should know.
RightClick on Taskbar mouse to 'toolbars' and everything is dimmed out. I can't change my current toolbar settings.
I have Nero software installed and it added some stupis searchbar to the Taskbar that I can;t close due to the dimmed our 'Toolbar' menu. - Not sure if that matters, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The Dimming of taskbar indicates high processing load.

You should always install/uninstall bricopacks in safe mode. ( press F8 during boot .)

you can try closing those toolbars in safe mode.

you can switch off transbar in Bricopack's control panel.

also try re-applying Inspirat visual-style.

Sorry, when I say dimmed out - I mean it is greyed out?
You know... not available.
Sorry for the confusion

Try to disable TransBar from Vista Inspirat config.

Is the transparency the problem or do you dont want the classic-theme, more a theme like this:

So what I WANT is the above that you posted... but the darn things locked down on this machine keeps the old taskbar. As a matter of fact the menu's and folders are stock too.

I guess if some are not understanding what I am asking... what Reg entries are keeping the Bricopack from changing my taskbar? (and menu, and folders) But mostly the taskbar!

TIA

In order to use these Visual-styles, you need to patch a file called UxTheme.dll.
To patch the UxTheme, download and run the Patcher (for Windows XP) from:
:ar: Here for Windows XP SP2.
:ar: Here for Windows XP SP3.

... after reboot it should work ...

You might also want to enable the Themes service and enable the visual styles in System properties. To do so:

On the Start menu, right click My Computer, select Properties. In the Systems Properties dialog box click the Advanced tab. Under Performance, click Settings. There you should be able to enable it.

IF THAT DOESN'T WORK:

Open the run box (startmenu -> run..) , type in services.msc and make sure the Themes service is set to "Automatic". If it was not set to automatic, set it to automatic, and reboot.

IF THAT DOESN'T WORK EITHER:

Open the run dialog, type in gpedit.msc and browse into User Configuration/Adminstrative Templates. Somewhere there there should be options to enable/disable the themes. I can't say which one it is, since I am using XP Home and it doesn't have gpedit.msc. You should find it.

Thanks to Breakfast and Legacy.
Themes were in fact disabled, and I will try the patch as well.
I will post my results shortly!

Thanks again.
