when i rebooted my computer after installing the program
my computer started running REALLY slow!!!!!
WHY IS IT DOING THIS!!!!!
I CAN'T EVEN UNINTSALL THE PROGRAM!!!!
whenever i try to open something, the computer just freezes
i can go into folders but i cannot open programs
such as uninstall vista brico packs
so....
any ideas on how to fix my computer?????\ ps. i am not on my computer right now | |
poiru Profil: Moderator | Try to boot into safemode to uninstall (Press F8 during boot and select Safemode).. I hardly think the Bricopacks can cause that much of a slow down, but you never know.. | |

Let's say, for example, this guy is running a Pentium 4 1.5 GHz with just 128MB of RAM. Though the shell pack won't slow his PC down, the other extras that install with Brico Pack could - like RocketDock, that transparency thing, etc.  | |

and this all happens when i install briscopack. so i had to reformat my pc becuase it wouldnt let me uninstall briscopack in safemode.
anyway now that i reformated im having another problem everytime i click on briscopack install icon my virus protection pops up saying treath has found. i have been useing briscopack for a year now, this is the first time this has happen to me.
and oh yes IM Running a powerful server. so requirement shouldnt be an issue. | |

Where did you download these Bricopacks from?
If you downloaded them from CrystalXP, then your antivirus caught a falsepositive.
The Bricopacks are created with NSIS (an installer), which is sometimes detected as a virus because of a similar name with NSIS (not a virus) and NSIS Media (a virus). | |

Thanks for letting me know i did noticed it would be a false alert. had to disable my anti virus to install the pack.. but i finally found the problem.. it was my spy sweeper.
just so you guys know.. briscopack doesnt work with spy sweeper 5.8, earlier version are fine.
after i updated my spy sweeper from 5.2 to version 5.8 briscopack froze. if anyone
knows how i can fix this problem please let me know.
