| Orochai Profil: New Penguin | Ok, basically, I installed Vista Inspirat the other day. The install went fine, and I didn't seem to have any major issues. I first found this issue when xfire first started. xfire has a small ad at the top of the window. Instead of the ad displaying as normal, firefox attempted to download the ad. A similar thing happened with windows live messenger, only internet explorer attempted to download it. I cannot access my hotmail e-mails directly from messenger either anymore, because it tries to download the page to my computer, rather than just displaying it. I also had this problem when I attempted to start the game gears of war. When I double clicked the icon, instead of the launcher coming up as normal, it attempted to download the files used to display the launcher. I haven't tried a reinstall of the pack yet, though I may try it later. Thanks in advance. | |

Orochai Profil: New Penguin | I'm running Windows XP Professional Edition, with SP2. Computer specs (in case you need them): - Intel Core 2 Q6600 (Quad core, 2.4GHz) - 2GB DDR2 800 (2 1GB sticks) - Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT 512MB - Asus P5K SE (Motherboard) If I missed anything, let me know.
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Hi Orochai! Usualy something like this should have nothing to do with a Bricopack, for all other members the bricopack works fine with messenger/browser/mail. Are you sure that your system is not infected (adware/trojan/virus)? Do you use scanner like Spybot Search & Destroy, a firewall or antivirus-software? Install Spybot, update it online, scan your system and "immunize" your system. If it found nothing, great ! Do you use Internet Explorer 6 or 7? maybe uninstall the browser and install it again, lloks like the registry can`t handle html-files, a install of IE7 should fix the registry.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | I'd be wary of SpyBot personally, I had it for a day, but got rid of it becasue the registry monitor drove me mad. Installed something else, can't remember what because I got rid of that too But the point was it then found a few pieces of malware and a.. damnit what are they... keylogger! That's the one, which SpyBot had missed.

It does drive you mad Thats why I disabled the TeaTimer (registry monitor) feature. This doesn't seem to be a problem caused by the Bricopack, but you might want to uninstall and see if the problem persists
