| Corcorino Profil: Penguin | Hey guys... I experienced just a problem with Vista Inspirat 2.I installed it but I still have the old Windows XP icons.Does Vista Inspirat 2 includes Vista Icons? If yes, what should I do? | |
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | You need to refresh your iconcache. Try this, download TweakUI (from Microsoft, right side), install, at the bottom you have the option "REPAIR", chose repair icons (reboot) ...
Corcorino Profil: Penguin | I hate to say that, but TweakUI doesn't work. Is it safe to delete the IconCache.db ? Or another program like TweakUI?
poiru Profil: Moderator | Its safe. If that doesn't work, then open the Vista Inspirat Config and press the Update button.
Corcorino Profil: Penguin | After that I have to reboot? Also,I tried ActivIcons and it didn't work. I searched but I don't have iconcache
codenamem2k Profil: Big Penguin | Well man, seems like your system is bit too messed up man... try reinstalling XP Then install Vista Inspirat again... that should do..

Please stop posting useless posts. You don't know a crap about this subject, so why go helping others? Sorry for being rude, but its annoying when people like you post something like like your system is bit too messed up man Yes, you should reboot your PC. The IconCache is a hidden file. Make sure you can see hidden files. Its located at: /Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Application Data
Corcorino Profil: Penguin | Codename, please stop posting here, your posts are useless. @Legace - yes,I can see hidden files and I followed your steps but I don't have iconcache... Thanks for your help...Maybe you can recommend me something? Please, someone help me.

Please make a screenshot from the icons you miss and a screenshot from the toolbar of the Windows-Explorer (Explorer.exe). If the toolbar looks like this: the installation was not complete (in this case, did you do it in Samfemode F8?). Be nice to Codename M2K

Corcorino Profil: Penguin | Thanks for helping me, you should be an admin . No, I didn't install in SafeMode. I have only the My Documents vista icon, the others are the old Windows XP icons. I'll post a picture later because my mother needs to use my PC. Thanks a lot! EDIT: Yes, the toolbar looks like the picture you posted. Also, I tried to reinstall and now I miss all Vista icons What's happening?

1.) First uninstall the Bricopack in safemode (press F8 during bootprocess) and reboot. 2.) Only after you install the Bricopack: Delete C:\Windows\BricoPacks and these files in C:\Windows folder: - BricoPackFolderDelete.cmd - BricoPackLock.lock - BricopackUninst.cmd - BricoPackUninst.txt 3.) Install the Bricopack in Safemode (F8)
