First, in my logon instead of saying "Windows is shutting down" or "Logging off" or "Windows is starting up" ; it says "9" instead. And it doesn't say"loading your personal settings" anymore.

Secondly, IE sometimes break down. But, that doesn't matter 'coz i use firefox anyway.

Finally, you can't turn off transbar.

Please help me!!!!!!

Did you install the Bricopack in Safemode (press F8 durning bootprocess) ?

Maybe try a windows-update ?

Use a freeware-tool to change the logon-screen ?

What problem do you mean ? Turn off transbar ? Or the logon-screen ?

You want to uninstall Bricopack ? Then uninstall it in safemode (F8), Perform a repair-install of XP, this will only overwrite systemfiles, no format c needed and all your programs still work ...

Try a repair-install (see above, this overwrites systemfiles from XP-CD), but you need to uninstall the Bricopack before

Dark_Raiden, to fix your logon issue, you can post me the files of your logon. Go to C: -> WINDOWS -> system32 and upload the logonui.exe file there for me.. I'll fix it and post it to you

I got it done today, and here it is.

You script was corrupted, but it should be fixed now.
Follow these instructions:

1. Go to C: -> Windows -> System32. There, change the name of logonui.exe to logonui2.exe
2. Download the file from http://www.mediafire.com/?py14o3lvmmt
3. Unzip the file, and copy the logonui.exe to the system32 folder

Then it should work.

When you did what Legace said you should have a new logon-screen, maybe you did something wrong ?

Can you make a screenshot or a photo ?

I spend some time with google - this is an unknown problem.

The "text" (windows is shutting...) is part of the logonui.exe, replace this exe and it should be fixed ...

If it don´t work, the only way is a repair-install of XP, this will overwrite all your systemfiles from the XP-CD (no format c: needed) ...

If this also don´t work, do a format c: and install windows again ... but the silly text is it not worth, if you ask me - I would ignore it

I suggest you go to a friends house who has the same language Windows XP, and take the logonui.exe from there and then replace the one you have with it.

I agree - but we never had this problem before

When you miss only the text it`s not such a big accident, I would say ignore it - if you can`t ignore it, backup your files and install XP again ... (did you do the repair-install?)

This is odd. If you really did take the logonui.exe from your friend it should work :err:
