| papawdalton Profil: New Penguin | There's an option in Vista transformation pack 7 to install to system files, with this option you can slipstream your installation CD by copying the files to a folder on your hard drive, point to the system files you just copied, click go. Then use a program like nLite to finish the job of making a bootable CD. But I don't find that option with Vista ispirat 2 bricopack. Has anyone accomplished what I've described, with Vista ispirat 2 bricopack ? | |
poiru Profil: Moderator | The files you mentioned can be found here in the Bricopacks [if I understood correctly]: C:\WINDOWS\BricoPacks\Vista Inspirat 2\PackFiles There is the numbers before the files (e.g. 10_Paint.exe) which you have to delete -> Paint.exe

I'm still trying to figure out how the page is laid out as far as where you click to reply and such. Didn't mean to double quote, don't mean to irritate anyone. In reply to Legace, you may have misunderstood me. The file I'm referring to is the Vista transformation pack "pack-vista-inspirat-2-1.0.exe". What I want to do is, slipstream the transformation pack into my XP install CD in the same manner you would a service pack, or an update. Here's some helpful information in case you aren't familiar with this process What is Slipstreaming? The end result is, when I install my copy of Window XP. the vista transformation pack is already installed, up and running. I can install all the apps. I want, after I install Windows, and make a Ghost copy, but that doesn't work well when you decide to build a new computer, then your Ghost copy has to reassign resources to new hardware, not to mention reactivation if you haven't fixed your copy to avoid that. I hope this helps make things a little clearer.

poiru Profil: Moderator | I know what you mean now. If you know how to use nLite well, you can install the Bricopacks with the /S switch during the installation (e.g. VI2.exe /S)
