I have installed Vista Inspirat 2 and now my Welcome screen and my "Windows is shutting down" screen are incomplete There is a large white patch on the left hand side and I feel sure that the screen should be black with coloured stripes on the right hand side. Can anyone please suggest a fix? I have copied it into My Pictures but don' seem to be able to upload it into this post...........Normael

Try to reinstall it in safe-mode. To enter safe-mode, press F8 during booting and select it.

You don't need to reinstall. Follow these instructions and it should work:
Right click on your desktop -> Select Properties -> Follow the image [select maximum, for example 32-bit]

Thanks to both yourself and Gandof. Gandof's solution did not work, but raising the Color Quality to Highest (32bit) did the trick.Many thanks again..............Bigpom
