Hey guys,

I posted this in the wrong place the first time, but here I am nonetheless with an odd situation.

Ok, so I have my wallpaper for my desktop, everythings fine, no big deal, but whenever I go to restart or shut down my computer, for a brief moment before it shuts down it brings up an old wallpaper that I haven't had up for a long time, and its not the default one that came with the brickopacks thing either. This wallpaper isn't even in the list of available wallpapers when i right click and go to properties. i found it online a long time ago and saved it, but have since deleted it. however, whenever i shut down or restart it  briefly goes to this wallpaper.

Where can I find this wallpaper file so I can fix this? It's weird. I did a search for wallpaper but it just brought up all the regular ones. Idk where this one is lurking. I'd do a screen capture to show you but I can't when its shutting down or restarting.

Thanks for your help!

It's not realy a way to fix this problem,
but if you copy your current wallpaper and set this copy as your wallpaper
the one you have right now is the old one.
So both, new and old wallpaper are  the same.

I guess my question really  is that wallpaper that comes up when it says "windows is shutting down", its also the one that comes up when i start my computer up and it wants me to put in my password to log in. So my question really is, where is that wallpaper file? Shouldn't it be in some sort of startup or shutdown folder for vista inspirat? I mean the wallpaper can't be displayed if it doesn't exist somewhere.

I thin this is a small bug...

Perhaps you can try System Restore... Or you can try reinstalling Windows again...

I found it. I just seached all the pictures in my C drive, and after alot of searching, found the bitmap file. Turns out it was in vistainspirat/regfiles or something labeled login or something. anyway, i found it. thx.
