| cyfer33 Profil: New Penguin | Hi, sorry for posting this (if this has been asked before) but cant find it anywhere on the site. How do I install Brico Pack properly so that I would not have any issues thereafter. 1) Any prerequisites? 2) Run from Safe Mode? Thanks in advance!

Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Hi Cyfer33 ! Quote :
About Bricopacks : - First, make sure that the pack is compatible with your system (to check you systems information, right click on my computer, then, click on proprieties . Here is the list of compatible systems : - Windows XP - Windows XP SP1 - Windows XP SP2 - Windows Server 2003 - Windows XP Media Center (SP1, SP2 or without SP) - Windows XP Tablet Edition Be careful, this pack isn`t compatible with 64 bit versions (x64) of Windows XP - You must uninstall other software like Bricopack, ShellPack or CustoPack before the installation of a new Bricopack. - We don`t guarantee the compatibility of our Bricopack with modified (Gold, Light, LSD) versions of Windows - You must have administrator rights in Windows XP to install this pack safely. - If for X reasons your machine not work with the first boot following the installation of the pack, you can restore your system: Put your CD of XP in the reader and launch the restore console. Type "R" at the invites setup. You have the console with prompt "the c:\WINDOWS >", type: "BATCH BricoPackUninst.txt". Type EXIT when the operation finished.

You know what safemode means ? Press F8 during the bootprocess and install the Bricopack in Safemode. Install one of the new bricopacks, "Crystal Clear" or "Vista Inspirat 2" ... Do a system-restore-point before the install, or make any other backup, like I do with Norton Ghost (or Trueimage) ...
cyfer33 Profil: New Penguin | Thanks for the reply Breakfastclub. Ive used VTP before and I only install such packs in Safe Mode. But now, I would like to try out the much touted BricoPacks. Wish me luck!
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | You don`t need luck, I think it will be fine ... (maybe disable the option "IE" when you have IE 7 and disable "Mediaplayer" when you stimm have MP 11) (most people don`t need YZ Toolbar too)

Yup I had it installed and everything went smoothly. The only thing I noticed is missing is the Boot Screen which still displays Windows XP. Any way to add a Vista Boot Screen? Btw, why disable IE7 and MP11? You mean with Y'Zs shadows right?

Search the forum for "Vista Boot Screen", the Bricopack don´t change the bootscreens, it`s to risky on some PCs. But you can use some programs to do that ... When your IE and MP works fine, everything is okay

I have tested both ViStart and TT with Vista Inspirat 2, and they work fine
cyfer33 Profil: New Penguin | Thank Legace. I guess that TT should work fine too with Yz's Shadow.
