Hello Im new to Crystal XP and I was lurking in the forums trying to find an answer there but

heres my problem

when i first login XP says windows exeplorer experianced an illegal opperation and needs to close

then occationally (1/2 of the time) when i  put my laptop to sleep it crashes

also fire fox crashes every time i try to loogin here had to use IE7

so heres what i did it may have been dumb but w/e

i patched my UXtheme or whatever with an old patcher
PC didnt like it did a system restore
PC still didnt like it
read on the forum that may be installing a bricopack could fix it installed crystal clear
PC was still unhappy
system restore no help
repair install no help (did ask for uninstallbricopack.txt wich i had sent to recyclebin but not deleted)
patch with a new patcher
pc still didnt like it
i still have the bricopacks folder in C:\windows
and in that folder unistallbricopack.txt or something like that

please help i restore all the bricopack files to c:\windows

Sorry, I`m confused:

You had a Bricopack installed now ?

You want to uninstall it ?

You did a repair-install (with the XP-CD) ?

You restored Bricopack-Files (they`re deleted before) ?

Before we can help you we need the answers ...

yes first i patched my UXtheme and windows got mad at me for it (ex explorer crashed)
then i did a system restore
then it still crashed so tryed installing crystal clear to see if that fixed it but it didnt
so i did another system restore
it still crashed
so i tried the remove.exe app but that made my comp blue screen at every boot
so i did a repair install it mentioned the bricopackuninst.txt file couldnt be found but i had sent that file along with the bricopack folder and the bricopack wallpaper to the recycle bin
after the repair i restored those files to the windows folder but the only files in the sys files folder iexplore.norestore or something like that
and a couple other .norestore files
then i installed vista inspirat just to see if that helped and now fire fox lets me login to this site and my comp didnt crash when i first put it in sleep mode after installing but exeplorer still crashed
and my sys files in the bricopacks folder now have many files in it
 are they the original or are they from the failed crystal clear and UXtheme patch
i hope that clears it up for you

Did you ever tryed a windows-update ?

Or a repair-install of XP ? This will overwrite all your systemfiles without a format c:

Try booting in safe mode, and then restore setting to about a month before you got the problem, that might help
