| Fish. Profil: New Penguin | As Acartis said in his thread, when he uninstalled the BricoPack, his computer crashed. If I use the uninstaller that came with the Brico pack, will I still get my old DLL back, along with my old icon sets? Cheers. | |

Yes 99% No 1% Create a system-restore-point before you install the bricopack, install and uninstall it in safemode (press F8 during the bootprocess)

Yeah But you can reinstall Windows though.. Just install it and don't worry. Life is all about risks
Fish. Profil: New Penguin | My computer came pre-installed with Windows so I can't reinstall it. But seriously, what's the point of having a "destroy-your-computer" button disguised as in uninstaller?
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | I installed and uninstalled Bricopacks way more then 100 times without any errors - like most of all other members here. Bricopacks are futured by Computermags, they are as much secure as they can. But lots of Windows-Systems crash right now without that someone install/uninstall something ... If you use a Bricopack or not, you should backup your system, 1:1 mirror like Norton/Symantec GHOST do (or any other mirror-software, some mabye freeware). Then you can make an 1:1 copy of your HD and go back to this point ...
Ownzorro94 Profil: New Penguin | I know someone who had the same problem. But it was solved when he tried the method from Breakfastclub
FX777222999 Profil: New Penguin | It's been a year now that I am using this program. Ever since I've got a lot of crashes with Microsoft programs that I cannot find a solution. So, as always...system restore of WindowsXP 2...and now...my registry was a mess because of.....I cannot delete some older programs that I installed before. Right now, I disabled..Windows Update..and I am running smoothly...but as always...I am anticipating more crashes because I am using 3 browsers which.....they are not compatible with each other. Somebody can help I think...thank's in advance!
Breakfastclub Profil: Penguin Pro | Hi FX777222999, what kind of browser do you use ? Usualy you can use Opera/IE/Firefox together without any crashes What kind of errors ? It`s always bad when the registry messed - and usualy you can safely use the Windows-Update When you find some time backup your files, do a format c: and install XP with all your programs/browsers and all what you need and then mirror your HD (with Trueimage, Norton Ghost), this will create a complete 1:1 copy of your HD - this means you can reset your OS to this point within a view minutes. (when my OS crash now I`m online again with a fresh XP and all programs in 4 minutes).

pip22 Profil: New Penguin | Creating a ghost image of C: drive before installing a BricoPack (or any similar system mod) is the best option. Creating a restore point is all very well but you have to remember restore points don't last indefinitely because of the limited space that's assigned to them -- new ones will eventually overwrite older ones. Plus, System Restore is not always 100% reliable even on XP.
haseebr Profil: New Penguin | ok..here's my problem...i installed the "windows vista inspirations pack" which is about 27mb setup file.
After installing i realised that some of the settings i wanted, were not opted while installing.
So i uninstalled the software.
After a reboot, i tried to re-install the pack and a dialog box message is displayed, "Another Shell pack is uninstalling, Please wait and reboot if needed"..
pls help me in this regard. I tried deleting the "bricopack" folder from \windows too...but to no avail
