Here's what fixed it for me:
 
1). Uninstall K-Lite
2). Remove Windows Media Player
3). Reboot
4). Reinstall Windows Media Player
5). Reinstall K-Lite
 
Hope it works for you too.  It was a TPIA.

 
 
Hey guys, I have found the solution for black screen while full screen in Media Player Classic. It was not for codec or not for installation procedure. What you have to do is just changing some options. You will find the procedure here...

you know I have not the same problem:  
MPC doesn't just get black screen when I want to go fullscreen, -  It closes the file at all
It happens every time when I do double-click, but it doesn't happen if I go to menu and choose "Full Screen"
