When dragging an icon in crystalclear bricopack a bad black shadowed cursor appears!

Anyone having fixed the same problem?

It appens when clicking and dragging an icon...  

That's the strangest thing I have ever seen I don't know anyone else who has had that issue.  When you go into Display Properties>Appearance>Advanced do you have Clear Type selected. (That path may differ slightly since I was doing it off the top of my head.)

I tried to switch off the clear type effect but still doesn't work.
Could be my NVVIDIA 6400 driver?

Thit it happens with the white Crystalclear-Cursor too ?

If we can`t find a solution (I also never saw it before) maybe simply use
other cursor before you changeall settings and your system hangs ...

I changed with the white TUX cursor...it is exactly the same. It appens just when dragging icons (no window) . Some troubles occur when the icon became transparent and the pointer is above!

there's a conflict with the crystal cursors which have their own shadow!

what about trying to set up again just the crystal cursors without shadow? what files I need?

Which graphic driver do u have?

I have ATI, but here are hundreds of misc graphic-cards and it works for most ...

Maybe search for the latest stable NVVIDIA 6400 driver

Whats about your colour-settings ? 32 Bit ? Truecolor ?

yes 32 bit true color.downloading now the latest nvidia driver for my laptop....hoping it will works...

ok nothing to do. It seems sony vaio update isn't able to upgrade my nvidia drivers.

Do you know any good resources for cursors? I just need to change them..maybe some which look like the crystal clear!

yes it is a problem with shadow I think,...later i'll try to use cristal clear pack on a laptop with an ATI graphic device...I am afraid the problem it's due to my nvidia geforce 6400...

I tryed it right now, works great with ATI Radeon 9800  

Do you try to disable the shadow?

I have ATI Radeon X300 SE... it work!  

A friend tried with a laptop with ATI graphic card : it works
A friend tried with Nvidia GeForce Go 7800: doesn't work.
I definitely think there are some problems with nvidia drivers.

GIZZLE, do you mean to disable teh shadows from the mouse pointer options in the control panel? YES I DID
but still doesnt work. It doesnt work just when dragging icons, If i click an icon or drag a window all is ok.

If i install cursors manually it doesnt work too. I think there problems in the way the cursors are designed.
It seems my graphic card lowers the color to 8 bit when I drag an icon (the icon become transparent).

News guys

I imported the crystal arrow in ARTCURSORS (editing software) and I changed the format to 24 bit from 32. I deleted the old dropshadow
I applied the same dropshadow I saved it as a 32 bit cursor. In this way it works perfectly!

The originals cursors are deisgned with some parameter which make conlict with nvidia drivers!
If u want I can redisgn all the cursors so they can work with nvidia..and then I can post them here...or send them to someone so can upload the bug

Thank Gawd I found this thread.. I was about to uninstall Crystalclear and reinstall it.. I thought I had a bad install I was going nuts wondering why my pointer looked weird when dragging icons around the desktop....

@ kafka82 - Please post your re-designed cursors/pointers here please, I'd love to have them installed asap. I love Crystalclear and would like it perfect!
