How do you restore windows icons to their defaults after you uninstall the vista inspirat 2?

Just refresh the icon cache by deleting the IconCache.db file from your profile directory (usually C;/Documents and Settings/Username/Local Settings/Application Data). It will be automatically recreated.

First try this, download TweakUI (from Microsoft, right side), install it, at the bottom you have the option "REPAIR", chose repair icons (reboot)
