Hi. I'm freaking tired of windows XP. I wanted to try out something new, and downloaded: 'bricopack-vista-inspirat-ultimate-2-crystalxp.net-en-130.zip'. When it was downloaded completly I tried to unpack the files. However, Norton blocked a file: 'Infostealer.Gampass'. I know Norton gives loads of fake warnings, but i really need some to confirm it's not a virus. Yeah, I am a hardcore gamer, so it's a bit bad if i lose all my passwords. Thanks.
Regards, TGHP.

Welcome to CrXP forums TGHP :loveit:

If you've downloaded bricopack vista inspirat 2 ultimate from CrystalXP.net, It's virus free

The warning that Norton give probably may be due to it's system file modification But it's no virus! ;)

You mean the Boot logo?
No it doesn't do that

For that you've to use BootSkin [freeware] or Tuneup Utilities [shareware] or several more softwares you get by Googling

I really don't see why everybody bashes norton so much. I have never gotten a false alarm in my life.

Anyways, I've had good luck with Inspirat so, hopefully you do too!

I always get Norton free with my motherboard. Always hate it. From Norton 2000 to Norton 2006, all of them f*** your computer up. Freakin thing needs half your RAM just to update...

Agree
But the Symentec Antivirus does not use much of RAM like Norton and it can be updated by the same updating files used for Norton

I personally use AVG since it has a free version and easy to update :mdr:

Have you ever gotten ANY alarm at all? LOL. Think about it. Norton's detection rate is less than 45%... While AVG 8 Is at about 92%

Oh yes, I get alarms, just never false ones :)
Plus 2009 is faster and I absolutely despise McAfee and some of the other ones out there based on my terrible experience with them.

Try to reboot. If that doesn't help, reinstall AVG. Remeber, when you are on the net without a firewall + antivirus you are PREY. So, be careful :)
