Looks a lot better and sounds like it is easier for the team But how come the english version of the forum still shows all the French writing (for the buttons and things like "bas de page","Valider votre message" )? It confuses me greatly

It feels strange indeed. I don't like the profile pages. It feels like you're not on CrystalXP.net anymore. I'm sorry dlb.

I like most changes in the new forum. But as Legace mentioned, we will get used to most things soon enough. There are still some things that can be improved though. Some Moderater things have changed as well. I still got some questions remaining but I will post these in the Team section. Good job everyone.

Avatar uploading doesn't work "No such directory" PHP error.

I don't really like this new forum.
It's so out of order. When I started using IPB, I got everything within 5 minutes. This one makes me confused... but totally.

Is there a button/link that will set all the posts as "read" anywhere? I miss it so much!

And do we have Private Messaging anymore?

There is a button to set all the posts to 'read'. Select the arrow of the 'screw' icon, right of the flags. Then choose for 'Mark all as old'. When you do this on the index page, everything gets marked as read. If you do this in Graphic Tutorials for example, all topics in that specific part will get marked as read.

Looks nice , loads faster

but too much reduced functionality.

I also miss the "last post by" links.

one thing missing in control panel(now in profile section ? ) was attachment manager.
(if attachments aren't deleted too )

tool tips are still not English.

User rankings (stars) are gone too  

But it still can be improved. I sense more tweaks ahead.

Oh, I just noticed the following:
 
1. It says "Profil" under the avatar and then shows our rank. That should be Rank:
 
2. You forgot the CrystalXP Copyright info at the bottom. ;p  
 
3. I think that there should be a little more space between successive posts. This is looking a little claustrophobic.  
 
4. There are no new smileys!!!  
 
5. In the Map selection thing in the Profile, the options are still in French ... like Monde and Asie. The map system is also not working. I selected Asie, and it doesn't do anything. And this page is still in French: CLICK!
 
6. There's no post count under the avatar????
 
7. I don't really care about this, but the Google ads are in French.

There are! If you are in a 'full' reply, you'll see Smileys (1/5) on the left side of your screen. With the arrows you can navigate through these 5 pages. These 5 pages contain all the general icons, if you click the arrow one more time however, you will get a look at new "smileys". We got Photoshop interface icons (example:       ) as well as The Gimp interface icons (example:       ).

I already saw those. They're not smileys... they're interface elements.

There is a new section for smileys in graphic release/mutual-aid corner.
