What you say now about Windows NT - you just said that about the Mac OS. XP, Vista and Seven are all based on Windows NT. Just as Mac OS X Snow Leopard is based on earlier versions of Mac OS X (but not on Mac OS 9). I don't say they are alike, they are just based on each other. If you compare Mac OS X 10.1 with Mac OS X 10.5, you'd see huge differences..
 
Thanks for your professional analysis of the OS name. If you don't mind I'll stick with the opinion I had first.

XP is built on 2000, and I have no idea what they did with Vista

Vista = XP + heavy graphics + a few RAM eating loops + really annoying security features
 
Obviously something went wrong down the line. I remember a load of videos of people using Vista and loving it... I wonder how much they paid them? Ironic how not one of them had any flaws with it, they must have got a million people and chose the best 10
