Well, I've installed Ubuntu 8.1 using Wubi, and before when I had 7.x I used an ethernet connection to my router. however now, that isn't possible, so wireless is my only option.
I've not a clue how to get the "Atheros AR5007 802.11b/g WiFi Adapter" working in Ubuntu, though I found this wiki:
I looked in the activated drivers, and the proprietary licensed nvidia stuff is there, and also an Atheros wirelless driver, however I don;t know whether this hasn't worked or whether it merely hasn't seen my wireless - do I need to add it to the hardware/network connection list? And if so, how? I had a look and it wants the MAC address and something about IPV4... so I'm lost
