Hi All, this is really a Q for Legace,  
 
im running Ubuntu , i want to be able to share the internet from a Dongle into many computers AND an ipod touch and other devices, but also to be able to let other computers share printers??
 
if this is easier on a pc then can u help me there too??
 
i have succeeded on a PC But  when i turn off the pc/remove the dongle it will no-longer work

That much should be obvious I would expect! With Ubuntu if you turn it off or remove it still won;t work, just in case you didn't realise
 
And if you've succeeded all this using a PC... why not just use the PC?

i found an ubuntu guide but when i get to starting firestarter  i get an error that eth1 is not ready

What kind of connection ie:  cable modem /dsl  ?
 
Sounds like you want to hook up to a lot of device!
 
A wireless router will serve you many connections ,both wired and wireless ,set it up 1 time and connect to it from whatever ya drag in the area !
