We can discuss 9.04 features/problems here.
 
First of all, has anyone got 9.04 running with FGLRX (the closed-source ATi driver) enabled?

I love Ubuntu 9.04 so far, I've downloaded a separate skin however.

I use nVidia so, no I don't have FGLRX.

Does anybody know if there is a conflict with AWN and gcursor (or whatever the name of the cursor changing program is)? When I try to install it with aptitude, it wants to remove AWN. When I install it with apt-get or with the Add/Remove area, it installs without removing anything, but it doesn't do anything when I run it.

I know 9.04 is out, but the update manager isn't showing upgrade.
(show normal releases setting is on.) May be it's not on local servers yet.
 
and.. do you feel any performance change with 64 bit ?
I have intel cpu with EM64T , will it run on it ?  
 
AWN is known to have problems with WINE, but not with any other app.

I can't really compare 32 vs 64-bit Ubuntu 9.04, cause I've only used the 64-bit one.
When compared to the 32-bit Ubuntu 8.10, the 64-bit 9.04 seems to do everything a little quicker than the 32-bit one. For example, Firefox starts very fasts. In a second at most, compared to the 5-6 seconds on Windows and 2-3 seconds on 32-bit. So, if you have no real reason to stick on 32, get 64. (And yes, your processor supports 64-bit systems).
 
 
Btw, try to press ALT + F2, then type in update-manager -d and enter. It should then show that a update is available. Make sure to reload, if it doesn't show anything..
