You have to format that partition. Then do a recovery on Windows so it fixes up MBR.
Everything should be back to normal.

To format the partition, I advise you to boot up some formatting tool.
As for the recovery, you must have your Windows CD

Not exactly. GRUB (the bootloader [where you can select Windows XP, memtest64 or Ubuntu on PC startup]) will be deleted and then your computer would become unbootable. So you have to have the Windows CD..

1) Use GParted Live CD to format and resize partions to origanal state
2) Fix MBR using the Windows CD..

I did some research and it turns out that you need the CD or you will end up with no OS.

Damn it!

i found my computer user manual.

it said "Your computer already has an OS so you do not need a cd. If problems occur please use system restore"

oh man!

hey! i reduced my 18gb to 6.4gb now.

thats good 'cos it improves disk speed and i have ubuntu just in case Windows dies out for some reason.

Lowering the size of your Ubuntu EXT3 partitionwill not have any affect on the performance of your XP/Ubuntu systems.
1) Ubuntu uses the SWAP partition to store temporary files
2) Windows won't get any faster if you add a few gigabytes.. You have the pagefile, where most temporary data is stored. The GB's you gained from reducing the Ubuntu partition will only be useful for file storage - nothing else [= no performance increase].

And, your disk speed will not grow/decrease in any way depending on the size of the partition.

I think this is a restore CD. You need an installation CD..

If you downloaded ubuntu from the internet like I did with wibi, then all you go to is the folder that you installed it in and just doubleclick uninstall. If you didn't use wibi, then just ignore everything I've said.

But anyway, Dark_Raiden_, this should work -> :ar: link
It's complicated, but it should work if you figure it out

I've been saying the whole thing again and again
I am sure you know someone you has a XP CD, which is the same language as your XP.

Since you can't seem to do anything yourself, just let Ubuntu be there. I'm sure you can live with it.
