help burned ubuntu on disk with nero and infra tryed diff speeds and every thing boots up to the menu screen where u chose mem check and liv/install and check for dick erros and no matter what option i choose it will load kernal to 100% then rebbot the computer help please. running windows xp and i have a compaq 325 intel cereon 256 ram

Normally that will mean it's a disk fault.  Burn another disk again (Burning the image to Disk) and then it should work!

i did i used nero and the infra burn image option and then burned the iso file i stumped.i not a total newb when it comes to burning just this whole linux stuff. could it be the cds i using not be a name bran like sony i using memorex? now i downloading the dvd iso going to try that ive tryed three or four iso cd files. do u no if it works on my computer i belive it should?

Even if you burn it correctly, things do go wrong.  So, try a new disk and you never know, it may work :happy2:

thanks ive tryed 3 or 4 disks and a dvd and notta is there any other less complex linux programs for my computer maybe it dont like my intel celeron pressario or something?

Really, 3 or 4?  Well in that case I really don't know.  It may depend on your sys specs but I can't guarantee it.  Have you tried the Freespire Distro of Linux?
