Hello all, I've been trying hard lately to get a vista style going with gnome using compiz & kiba-dock. I've really been let down with the icons though, here are my results:
Are there any icons that I could use to increase the vista style? This is as far as I've managed with GNOME - does anyone have any further ideas on methods of improvement?
Edit: I used;
1. GTK2 Clearlooks-DarkNice theme from gnomeart.org 2. A self modded DarkGlassVista CGWD Theme (removed light over buttons and changed shadow) 3. Tango Iconset *shudder* 4. Kiba-dock with initial settings changed so it has a gradient background with black colour scheme
You seem not to have activated Blur effect, why wouldn't you do it ? I find it looks pretty nice
For the Vista-like icons, you can find quite much of them on the Web if you search a bit

Thanks guys for the supportive comments
I hadn't hosted the pics with imageshack so didn't know how to make thumbnails - plus I've never used invision power board before so am not sure what tags to use (if there are any?) thus just changed the pics to links. - Sorry that they broke your rules ... *thinks of an excuse* ... i'm new here!

For those die-hard vista theme fans who don't like the "all black" style (I find it easy on the eyes and it reflects the simplistic approach of gnome well) and want something a little closer to the vista panels , you can get the "LiNsta2" pack from gnome-look to create something that looks like this:
moa18e: Sorry for not enabling the blur effect! There was a patch for it which accidently crashed compiz and I hadn't re-enabled it since. I'll put it back on after checking what went wrong from compiz.net.
PS The resolutions different because I tried this on my desktop

If anyone wants an ubuntu or gentoo HOWTO as to how to get it looking that way and running as you would expect it, then it'd be very simple for me to create one. (There are some minor tweaks that I didn't mention such as that the dark gtk2 theme must be installed by root and the normal user so that programs such as synaptic and gnome-theme-editor are themed as well as non-root programs). Kiba-dock is also very simple to self-tweak but some people find installing it tricky due to it being in such early development.
