I was just wondering why my old P4 ht is working at such a slow rate... I have run virus scans, core temp is normal, and the core speed hasn't slow down. People say a P4 ht should be able to run vista but its can barely run XP home edition. I'll try to post some pics but it might take a while.

Pentium 4 is around 9-10 years old. You can't really expect it to work at a good rate. I mean, we have 3GHz Eight-Core PCs now. :p

No way it can run Vista.

Try a fresh reinstall of Windows. I used a 2.8GHz P4 HT before I swapped to this 3GHz Core 2 Duo and it was pretty quick. Things were smooth on a XP Home..

Or maybe it's a problem with too little RAM?

Why not just say "Haha, no it won't run on anything! :p" than making things complicated and rattling on about 12 core Amigas or whatever?  :ohwell:
