I run XP, service pack 3. I was using Windowblinds and had no problems taking screenshots of my different configurations. Windowblinds seemd to hog resources, so I asked some friends about an alternative and found Crystal.xp. This has been great. I love everything so far. For now I'm just using the Vista theme that is right there on the main page. I'm also using a RocketDock. For a person that stuck to Xp in Classic Mode..I'm actually loving the look of this. Only ONE PROBLEM. No matter how I try to take a screenshot- all I can capture is the desktop background. No toolbar, no rocketdock, nothing. Just my selected desktop image. I decided to try Screenhunter, then another screenshot app- just to see if the standard way of taking a screeny just wasn't working for some reason. Still no luck.
I just registered for these forums- so if the topic has been discussed elsewhere please forgive me and help me out with a link. I did at least look , and havent seen this topic discussed yet.

I do use multiple monitors...but I already tried getting a screenshot using only one. I even did windowblinds again for a few minutes just to see if *somehow* something had changed with my setup that affects getting a screenshot of an app that changes the look of XP. No problems getting a windowblinds screenshot. Only bricopacks. I can even get screenshots of say, firefox, or vlc, while using bricopacks. Just not the toolbar or rocketdock.

How do you take screenshots?

Press the PRNT SCRN key on your keyboard (next to F12) and then open Paint. Now press CTRL and V (or select File -> Paste).
Does this method work?
