Now for this tutorial you must download the PSD model which contains 6 layers.
The PSD model is downloadable here.

The PSD model looks like this :

1) You must now apply a Layer Style to the layers : “Tête”, “Bras”, “Jambes” and “Ventre”.
 Inner Shadow, Inner Light, Bevel and Emboss, Color Overlay.

Now, your Buddy looks like this :

2) To the 2 eyes (Layer “Oeil droit”, “Oeil gauche”) you must now apply an oder Layer Style.Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss.
Your eyes must be like this.

3) Take the PNG model for the t-shirt, open on Photoshop, and slide the layer of t-shirt.png on your Buddy, You will just place it on top of the layer "Ventre", and align it like this.
Then, make a "ctrl+clic" on the layer "Ventre" and invert the selection ( ctrl+shift+i ), and finally, delete (by being on the copy “T-shirt”). Your T-shirt is now put. You can also draw your own shape with the pen.

4) Now, personalise your t-shirt. Color Overlay, black stroke of 1 px, and an inner shadow. Your Buddy must be like that.

5) Now we are going to do the sleeves. Take the PNG model, and make like the third stage ; align the sleeves on your Buddy. This layer must be called « Manches » and you will juste place it under the layer « T-shirt ».

6) Exactly as the 4th stage, apply it (at the layer « Manches ») the same layer that the layer “T-shirt”.
Here is my actually result.

7) Now the trousers ! Take the PNG model and slide it under the layer « Manches », you will call this layer « Pantalon ». Ajust it, then personalise it.
Your Buddy is now like that.

8 ) Now the hair. Take the PNG model), slide it on you Buddy and put it at the first position ; you will call it « Cheveux ». You can also make your own hair with the pen.

9) Like n°4 and 6, apply layer style..
Here is my actual result.

Now it being looks like a good Buddy ! Yes, because our basic Buddy is finish. We must now apply shadows.

10) Make a new layer called « Ombre cheveux », and you will place it juste under the layer « Cheveux ». Now, ctrl+clic on the layer “Cheveux” and fill the selection with black color. Move the layer 2-3 px downwards, and apply a Gaussian Blur of appproximately 3 px. Opacity of this layer : 70% approximately.
Then, stay on the layer « Ombre cheveux » and make « ctrl+clic » on the layer « Tête », the “ctrl+shift+i), and after delete!
Here is your shadow.

11) Make the same thing with the shadow of the head to the body. A new layer called « Ombre tête ». You will place it juste under the layer « Tête » . Then, make the same operations for the shadow (Gaussien Blur, opacity, …), and « ctrl+clic » on the layer « Ventre », after make “ctrl+shift+i) and delete it.

12) Same thing at the number 10 but with the trousers shadow. You will call it « Ombre pantalon » et and put it just under the layer « Pantalon ». Do same things (Gaussien Blur, opacity, …)
Then, ctrl+clic on the layer « Jambes » , ctrl+shift+i, and delete.

13) Same thing but with a new layer « Ombre t-shirt » that you will place it juste under the layer « T-shirt ».  Do same things (Gaussien Blur…) but this time with a 40% opacité. Then, ctrl+clic on « Pantalon », ctrl+shift+i, and delete.

14) Now, layer in top of « Ombre t-shirt » you will call it « Ombre t-shirt 2 ». Ctrl+clic on layer « T-shirt », fill the selection of black, and apply a 3 px Gaussien Blur. Opacity 60%. Ctrl+clic on layer « Bras », ctrl+shift+i, and delete !

The shadows of your Buddy are finished!
 The result now.

15) Now, the principaly shadow.New layer « Ombre » and put it at the last position. Make an eliptic selection and fil lit of black like this.
Now « ctrl+D », and apply a 5 px Gaussien Blur, opacity of layer « Ombre » at 65%.

Yeah !! Your Buddy is now finish

This is the basic tutorial, you can make your own forms wth the pen, for inove mister Buddy

Can the screen shots of the styles also be translated? I tried to use babel fish but I didn't get the expected results. Thanks.
