posting a *.psd file is like giving a full scholarship to a lazy student try to follow the tutorial so you can make one yourself.
And you might get that feeling of success

Good results!  All your shadows are cut in the bottom though. You've to make everything a little smaller, or make the canvas a little bigger. I like your 3th result the most.

Welcome to CrystalXP! Pretty cool result you've got there. Mind that you used white as background instead of transparent. Perhaps you should use a transparent version in your avatar as well!

i must be doing something wrong because when i try to use transparent it turns white everytime i save it

Yes I know what you are doing wrong. You have to save your avatar as a .png file, .jpg files don't recognize transparency. That's all there is to it.
