It's my firts post, and english it's not my native language, (from Spain), and I'm newbee.
I'will try to explain my trouble.
Firts at all you said:

I'm running WXP SP2, and Adobe PhotoShop CS3.
My trouble is that I've transparent option grayed, what can I do..??
I've a question: How can I save image psd as icon?, I don't see thar option for anywhere.
How can get I, the photoshop plugin needed..?
I love icon you make, and really I want to learn how to.

Welcome to CrystalXP! Your grammar is fine, we've seen far worse before. I think you already found an answer to your second questions, so now I'll try to help you with your transparent question. Make sure that if you create a new document, you have select 'RGB Color' in color mode. If you've selected for example 'Bit Map', you won't be able to do a transparent background.

Hi guys , first of all i wanna say im impressed of the works i see here, i dont know how many years took for everyone of you learn photoshop, but i see some nice images created by you.So i thought i should try and learn something, i folowed the guide and i know something went wrong ,my photoshop is spanish and i dont understand verry well the english tools how they are translated in this photoshop.Any way heres my try....

Welcome to CrystalXP lefthand. Your result looks promising, but as you said there are some things that could improve. There's a little aliasing in the top, and the feet hasn't got the right effect. Perhaps take look at those steps again.
