nice one .:doddles:. ... it look kinda dark... but i have some problems with my monitor... so it could be that... i`ve made the tut with a green one ... because green is my favorite color...

No actually I noticed it is a bit dark  :ouch:

Nice result Doddles :great:
I don't think the border is hard to do:
create new layer
fill it with white
ctrl + A
go to   Select >  Modifi  >  Contract       and I think 25 is good
delete

I used border instead of contract and came up with this :

if you put a stroke on the outside of the border (very light shade of gray or dark blue) then it will look more good.
