:meuh: this is a tutorial response for sosoe222... he wanted the steps but i wanted to create a tutorial...

this is my first one...  :whistle:

so i`m hoping that you will like it... :great:

so let`s begin

1.create a new document in photoshop with a transparent background(any resolution 800x600, 1024x768, 1280x1024, even 1600x1200)

2.fill Layer 1 with any color you choose using the paint bucket tool (i used black)

3.go to Layer 1 blending options (double click on the layer thumbnail) and use the following settings

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut1.jpg

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut2.jpg

you should come up with this:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut3.jpg

4.create a new layer, fill it also with black and make Layer 1 invisible by clicking the eye

5.go to filter->render->clouds.

6.then go to filter->render->difference clouds(repeat this step 10x/15x with ctrl+f)

you should obtain this:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut4.jpg

7.now go to filter->blur->radial blur and use this settings(repeat it twice ... again with ctrl+f)

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut5.jpg

you should obtain this:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut6.jpg

8.where are getting there just one final effect to add... go to filter->sketch->chrome

what settings and what you should obtain:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut7.jpg

9.final step... go to Layer 2 and set the blending settings to Multiply

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut9.jpg

10.make Layer 1 visible again by clicking where the eye should be...

final result:

http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa287/cellblade/tut8.jpg

hope you enjoyed this tutorial... and hope you like it... :meuh: :great:

The tutorial is well explained, good job. Please make up a better title for the tutorial though. "Liquid something" won't do.

Cute :loveit: Your radial effect looks kinda better than cellblade's (no offense, cellblade). What did you do with it?

Liquefied radial effect? :wink: Liquefied is the natural gas, also known as LNG.

@ sosoe222 , the problem is that I forgot to save the PSD file  :frown: , I will try to post the steps if I get enough time .

@ Gruzz , you are absolutely right  :idea: .

@ cellblade , yes , I did add an extra radial blur after the chrome effect but believe me that's just a part of what I did as whole to achieve the result.
