In order to keep a clean design, CrystalXP.net's team would like that every thumbnail that'll be displayed in the gallery is based on the same model.
This tutorial will show you how to create your creation's thumbnail thumbnail.
First of all, you'll need to download this PSD file

1 - Open the « gallery-screen » PSD file

2 - Open three of your PSD or PNG icon files. These will be the three icons that'll be displayed on your thumbnail.

3 - Resize an icon so that it becomes a 128x128 pixel icon, change another icon's size to 64x64 And antoher one to 48x48 (To resize, click on "Image > Image size".
Now Paste these three resized icons in the « gallery-screen » PSD file.

4 - Make the « icons » layer visible

You should obtain this :

5 - Move the three icons so that they perfectly fit in their own compartement.

6 - Hide the « icons » layer

7 - You should now obtain the final image, you only have to save it as a JPEG file and it'll be ready. Please use Adobe Photoshop's « Save for web » function to reduce as much as possible the image's size.

It depends on author's choice , the most common are 128*128 and 256*256

But when you make an icon, you have to do it according to the rules from dlb. I've translated his tutorial into dutch.

Not for evey image, because when you make a visual style (and upload it to the gallery), you don't have to follow this tutorial. The only thing you have to do then, is to add the background and a small preview

How much complication to post a simple icon to this site!
Every time I try to attach a thumbnail, the message: "This preview is not a valid image" comes up... I haven't any application to edit on PSD files. And the tutorial above is not displaying any illustration... I will upload my icon to 4shared site!
