Your reflection is wrong. 1st-the surface is very shiny. 2nd-anything you put on a very shiny surface does not fade. You should turn down opecity between 40 and 60% and dont use gradient mask. Different surfaces reflect differently.

I suspect he only used that as an example to show you could reflect any object on any background.

am kind of a noob with photoshop and had a hard time trying to do this, but i realized that my top colour was white and that was why i wasnt able to apply the gradient!!! :neutral: :whistle: :lol: :cry:    thznks a lot for thw tutorial

hey how does that "quick mask" works?? can you explain how can i use it??

Select the 'reflection' layer and click on the "Add layer mask" button :

With the mask selected , just stretch a white-black gradient on the layer , keeping black color at the bottom and white on top , the mask will cover the part of the layer that's colored black :wink:
