11. We will brighten hippo head now. Click on hippo layer. Hold Alt/Option key,
click black and white circle and choose 'Levels'. Check 'Use Previous Layer...'
and type these values: 0 0,75 178.

12. As you can see, the mouth is to bright so check the white rectangle near
'Levels' layer. This is vector layer 
13. Choose Brush Tool with black color and set brush as smooth and 160px.
Mask that area:

14. Let's dark area behind hippo head
Click on lizard layer, check Quick Mask
mode (Q), change foreground color to black, select smooth and big (about
400px) brush and paint that area:

Altough you set black color, the painted area will be red. So don't worry, it's
not a mistake, that's look in quick mask mode 
15. Switch to Normal Mode (Q again) and you should see the select beside the
area that we painted before.
16. Now go to Select -> Inverse (or CTRL+SHIFT+I/COMMAND+SHIFT+I) then hold
ALT/OPTION key and in the black and white button select 'Brightness and
Contrast', select 'Use Previous Layer...'and in the next menu set these
values:
Brightness: -34
Contrast: -22
17. OK. Look at the hippo mouth. It's green. Let's change it
Click on the
mask layer in 'Color Balance' layer and mask area in hippo mouth to get
that:

18. Do the same with hippo eye

19. and mask that area also

so that would be look like a shadow 
20. And the last thing - we will colorize all of it. Create new layer at the top.
Set foreground color to #333366 and fill that layer by Paint Bucket Tool
or press ALT+BACKSPACE/OPTION+BACKSPACE
TIP: By ALT+BACKSPACE/OPTION+BACKSPACE you can fill every layer with foreground
color and by CTRL+BACKSPACE/COMMAND+BACKSPACE with background
21. Now go to Blending Mode menu, select Overlay and change opacity to 66%
And that's all!!
