Hey,

I was wondering if anyone new how to create a glass effect onto say an 'avatar'?  For example if you see Tessy's Avatar it has a glass shine across the top of it...

I think you're talkin' about the crystal effet.  
It's a white to transparent type gradient

 Great you solved your question...
 Other thing you can do is select the portion you want to make the "glass effect" with the lasso tool and then use the gradient tool in white to transparent and finally you can reduce Opacity by 70% (aprox)

Apoc: Draginol's sigi is off-course very beautiful.It is an ingenious combination of image and glossy reflection.

Good-Tutorials is an excellent site that has tought me many skills such as reflection.  For making it shiny and so on, using the White to Transperant gradient tool and then cutting a section off with the pen tool (my signatures shine) can give a great effect

Go through this for creating  Crystal style signatures.

Alright, I see what your trying to do.  I'm downloading the .PSD now, and I'll have a play with it.

When you tried to do the effect 'wingmanpr', you were using Bevel and Emboss?

I was trying Emboss, Now Im using Alien Skin Eye Impact. Using the glass effect but I loose the Text...

It looks great! Can you round up the edges? Look at the previous post, see how athe edges are round like glass sticking out.

I can try, but it's hard to do with everything on the one layer.  Glad you like it so far

Nice one ASHAR  I was trying to do something similar but the .PSD was all on one layer.
