Well this is my first Nooby tutorial.
In this tutorial I will show you how to make transparent sprites.

You will first need Paint.NET

You can get it here.

http://www.download.com/Paint-NET/3000-219...cdlPid=10879258

Ok lets start out with something simple I will use the mini player from the rainbar.

And i will fill it in with black paint.

As you can see it not transparent well lets make it!

click on "layers" and then press "layer properties"

and you should get something like this

now i will make the opacity 150 and watch!

This tutorial is about how to make an image partly transparent? I don't think that would be sufficient for a tutorial to be honest.

Again, I would prefer a PS tutorial, rather than Pain.NET

Just because you use Photoshop isn't a legit reason to not allow tutorials for other applications. If you want to know something about transparency in Photoshop, you can open a topic in the Graphics Novice Corner.

If you need to know something about transparency in Paint.Net, you can open a topic in the Graphics Novice Corner.

This "tutorial" will be moved to the Graphics Novice Corner. I don't really see any point of using this tutorial. It's nice for those who do not know how to change transparency, but that's already covered in the help files of Paint.net. :oui:

Topic moved.
