| Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Last message on previous page: Looking pretty sweet and fresh! There's also a tutorial specifically on the Pen Tool on here, written by me. Check it out if you want to learn more about the Pen Tool. It's something you're probably going to use very often if you progress in Photoshop. | |

ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Thanks for the link to the tut Gruzz, I've read it before though, first place I went One thing I didn't think of was the darned little bar at the top that Asher posted, I'm not so used to photoshop and I keep forgetting about the little bars and menus I added some wavy lines with the pen tool now, but didn't think to use a gradient instead of a solid fill Is there a tut somewhere that shows how to make the wavy lines by the way? I can't quite get them right
Damballa Profil: Penguin | Im not patient to do nices line or brushes.. i do it random and they are ugly
Asher Genius is not born , it is made.... Profil: Moderator | Ghost After creating a curve (the path should not be closed) , right click on the curve with the Pen-Tool selected and select 'Stroke Path' from the menu then select 'Brush' from the "Tools" menu in the next option , you should select appropriate settings for Brush-Tool before using it for path

Usually a 2px brush (hard or soft, try what works best for you) with a light colour works well for these kind of lines.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Sorry didn't explain what I meant by wavy lines; I meant the lines like on the crystalxp banner, where they have a gradient on them.. hard to explain. Like the ones in Gruzz and Asher's sig, where the lines have a gradient kind of background and are transparent... Is that just using the pen tool so it fills the path and then connecting the lines up outside of the canvas area? And then with a gradient fill and 20-40% opacity kind of thing?
Asher Genius is not born , it is made.... Profil: Moderator | You got it correct except that I've used Pen-Tool curves on my signature

Gruzz Profil: Moderator | dura007k, could you be a bit more specific? Do you not know how to make this shape with the Pen Tool, or how to go from there?
headbuster Profil: Penguin | I don't know ho to make the lines too
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Have a look in this tutorial. It'll describe a lot of information regarding the Pen Tool. This will help you make the wavy lines.

Yes, I don't know how to make this shape with the Pen Tool
| |
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Using the pen tool, click on a point outside of the canvas (The grey area) and then click again on a point on the canvas (a point on your background). Now you should have a straight line, with a dot at either end. Then click and hold at a point somehwere at the middle of the line (You can do this at any point tough) and then drag the mouse (Still holding down the mouse button) away from the line and you should see the line you made start to curve the more you drag away from the line. The drag the mouse around until you get a shape you like, and let go. Hope that helps you
iraqia Profil: New Penguin | woww so nice tutorial thank u
Frozzn Profil: New Penguin | WOW, very nice . But how did you make step 2? I can't draw this round lines .
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | When you put down a point, make sure to drag a bit. Now you will get two controllers which you can use to drag. This way you're able to get a curved path. If you still don't understand, have a look at my Pen Tool tutorial.
Frozzn Profil: New Penguin | Thanks . I try it ^^.
dura007k Profil: New Penguin | Hey bro fix images because these doesn't look Sorry for my bad English
Frozzn Profil: New Penguin | These try doesn't look very good. I go to make a second... (The lines aren't ok)
