Now bespin, (linux window styler) supports transparency, not just frames (as in aero) but all window controls, plus compiz alpha-blur gives real glass like looks. Also kde-air ring decorations on transparent parts.

My current wallpaper is not artistically very impressive, but damn I just love it!

My god, you guys live in a terrible world. We can do just about anything Everyone downloaded their torrents in my previous school, because of global user accounts. Now we have personal accounts, so it's a lot easier to get caught.

Not only that, but the IT people can watch you and shut down your computer remotely if your "playing games" or something.
 
Teachers can do that as well, same with librarians (if you're in that room)

I'm so glad all of that is over now that I am in university. Everyone has got their own laptop/notebook now and you can do anything you want with it. Even tough that means some people are straining the wireless with newsgroups and that kind of stuff. They should download their linux distributions elsewhere. One time a teacher shut down my 'workstation' when I had open lots of research paper. He thought I was playing a game apparently. Not sure how that is possible when using 4 pdf's, calculators and 2 word documents.
 
Oh - for those interested. I have still got Ubuntu on my system and using it right now. There's a few things I really have to get used to, but overall it's not bad! I really hate empathy (IM client) tough. It's so unclear! Why do I have to start the program twice in order to see my contact list? :s

 
Yeah, Empathy sucks as of now. I suggest you get Pidgin, which was default until 9.10.
