Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | I don't understand how people can say IE is faster than Firefox, unless you aren't talking about IE 8 and FF3.5. IE 8 takes several seconds to open a tab and takes much longer to open, while FF is faster opening and opens tabs instantaneously.

Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | I didn't say that... I'm using a 2.4ghz dual core processor with 6 GB of ram, as well as a 4 GB flash drive with ReadyBoost and it easily takes two or more seconds to open a blank tab in IE8. ---------------

It takes about a second for me in IE8. But you can still see the delay. With Firefox, it's instant..
And I couldn't live a day without a decent adblocker (AdBlock Plus) (even on my iPhone: http://cocoamug.com/adblock/index.html ).

I usually see 3, even 4 seconds, to load it up, then I have to wait for toolbars to load, and then the crappy AOL homepage (still haven't managed to override it - thanks HP) but I live in FF at the moment - Safari is too bloated, and hence slower Might swap to IE for a week... ---------------
