The first one is definitely better, but I'm sure you can still do something better. They're too simple and well ... clichéd.

i know it was my 1st time following a tutorial ... now my kind of better one but i can't get the gradient on the "T" to match the outside..

i added an attemted shine and you know what i mean by attempted.

Sorry, it hasn't improved For a start, I think it's better if the T is "white-hot" as it was originally. You should add some kind of border if you are going to have a shine, and move the shine lower, so the bottom of the shine curve is in the middle of the image, or slightly lower.
 
Maybe try adding some smoke?

yea well im annoyed with that attempt   so ill leave it a while and im trying something a little more me and no tutorials to follow !
