I've made some GTK login splashes for the Mac4Lin Transformation Pack, and I'm working on a Usplash for it so today I decided to make a Tux for it. It uses what seems to be becoming the official Mac4Lin logo that I had created. I'd appreciate any feedback on it before I post it to the gallery.

Where can I download it from, cause I was looking forward to download some Mac themes for Linux?

Mac4Lin is developed by an Ubuntu guy, and I'm running it on Gutsy. There's an entire topic on the Ubuntu Forums about it but you can get Mac4Lin at http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin. I also have some of my screens for Mac4Lin available at GNOME-Look.org. Just do a search for content from HardinComp. I only have a few things there now, but I also have another thing or two in development.

Does the dock come with the pack?

No it doesn't, because you actually have a choice of docks to use. I prefer the Avant dock (AWN), and Mac4Lin comes with some goodies for it, but but you could also use the Kiba dock (as several do). There is a rather long topic on the Ubuntu Forums about using AWN that you should definitely take a gander at. Goth the Mac4Lin and the AWN topics will help you get over some of the bumps you may encounter as you install and use them.

Cause I have some problems with apt-get in Terminal. Somehow, it works a few minutes and then changes server address to 1.0.0.0. and of course, it won't work

I see today that my Tux got rejected for the Factory but without any info as to why it was rejected. Can someone help me figure out why it got rejected?

If you go to the CrystalXP front page and then click 'Manage (BostonPeng)' -> 'Manage my creations'. Now you should be able to see this tux and behind it (iGloo only). If you click this creation it will say:

Creation's status : Your creation hasn't been validated in the Gallery but is available in your iGloo
Validated by : *some name here*
Validator's comment : *hopefully something is here*

I've actually been to that screen, but the info on who rejected it any why is blank. I had checked there before posting my query here, but I guess whoever rejected my Tux wants to be anonymous.

May be they want you to put more stuff on tux along with the apple , I too agree that the tux should have enough volume to be submitted in the gallery

Sorry, it's not going to be available here after all. All I've been able to get is that it's been refused. No idea who refused it or why, and I've decided I have too much on my plate to try to figure out why it's not available so I could try submitting it again. If you want it you'll have to get it from my OP because the only other times I'm uploading it now will be to use as an avatar somewhere.

I may actually need to pull it from even my OP. The developer of Mac4Lin has told me he needs a new logo to prevent possible legal issues arising from the use of logos belonging to Apple and Canonical. Once I get the new logo I'll see about making a new Tux, although I doubt I'll submit it to the gallery. My initial experience with trying to submit a Tux has left me feeling that there's a good bit of time from my life that I'll never get back. I'm really not interested in doing that again.
