Hello

Tux is the Linux mascot. Linux stands for freedom.

The quality of the icons found on this website is impressive, but it feels it's going to waste by the restrictive terms of agreement. :frown:

But on the Terms of Agreement it says:

- If you wish to use the tux for graphics creation (example : a wallpaper), you must specify the source, author name and put a link to Tux.CrystalXP.net and Everaldo.com
- If you are a webmaster and you wish to use some tux on your website, the agreement of a CrystalXP.net administrator is necessary (dlb@crystalxp.net)

I think that the usage should be more freely.

What do you think?

Have you heard about the Creative Commons ?

I think that the agreement of the TUX creator, it's the minimum if you want to have a TUX on your Website.
The tux designed by everlado (and the TUX G2 by Overlod)  is inspired by the penguin of Linux but doesn't belongs to Linux. :great:

True, it doesnt really "belong" to it, but it is assiocated with it, and it stands for freedom.

So I think it would be much better if the users who wants to use the tux images would have more freedom todo so. I think that everyone should be able to put one of the beautiful tuxes on his/her site without have to ask for permission first.
