I would say to lower the opacity on the inner glow/shadow on the fuzz

There is no inner-glow/shadow on the hat fur. That's a Gaussian blur effect.

Do you mean the entire gradient's opacity or just the edges?

By the way, has anyone ever wondered where Santa gets the fur for the fluffy parts of his hat and overcoat? He's a polar-bear poacher!
