sosoe222 Profil: Penguin Pro | No, don't put divider after Blog, looks cool this way Design looks cool so far, I like it. Good luck coding this in the end
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Thanks for the good luck! Yeah I thought it looked fine without the divider also so, I won't add it.
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | So am I the only one whose personal site sucks?
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Why would you say that? What does it look like?
uttaresh The Penguin Master Profil: Penguin Pro | Nothing... I haven't made it yet. Tried it for one day, and then got busy with other stuff...
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Well, your personal site will suck if it doesn't exist Really liking the new style Tanshin Like the bullet points on the latest projects bit. Maybe the header/banner image could be lighter though? The top half of the site still seems a bit too dark
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | I'll work on it. I also started to upload it: tanshin.xf-s.com There are only two working links now, and I am working on using a different hosting server so it is faster.
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | If you want a faster free hoster than free space, you might want to try 000webhost.com In my personal experience, they're faster than freespace and I haven't experienced any down time with them.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Well, I'm paying for my hosting from GoDaddy from my last failed site from August so I might as well use that until it expires.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | (sorry for double posting) Ghost, I e-mailed you about hosting Also, now the items in the gallery can be downloaded locally. tanshin.xf-s.com
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | Email received, and replied Though I must go now, my sister wants her room back. Can't wait till we finally have a wireless router in this house Yay downloadable stuff! I haven't seen that abstract wallpaper before, is it new?
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | No it is kinda old, I just didn't like it enough to share it here.
razznoir Profil: New Penguin | n00b to the site here(meaning me..-l-). but I like the concept of your design. very clean cut, and right to the point. anything I've done? Is always 'too dark'. Or I can never get the coding right..etc etc. -thumbs up-..great work.
Gruzz Profil: Moderator | Your website isn't opening for me at the moment. Will try at a later stage, but just wanted to inform you about this.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Yeah, I noticed that. The servers are probably down. EDIT: Yeah, the servers are down I really don't have the money to have a regular website. I want to though.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Okay, I have the rss feeds made, unfortunately I can't upload it because the servers are down I'll try again today. I was having troubles with making my own feed as it wouldn't display right in the browser so I ended up using an outside host for it (plus it is more reliable)
ghostnatyphon Who Dares Wins Profil: Penguin Pro | The RSS didn't display right... do you mean when you click the link it just shows a block of text? Meh, the persons browser can read that, it'll parse it later And if you are still using xf-s you should be warned that just recently they have had a lot of down time in small bursts of about an hour. This happened before, it'll last anytime between a week and a month EDIT: If it is xf-s it should be working at the time of this post, mine is.
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | I saw your post on the support forums... just had to get out all that anger did ya? lol Anyways, I'm going to go upload it now. I am really tired of all this downtime, I understand why it happens, I just wish that they would update that server status page.
poiru Profil: Moderator | I just visited the portfolio and it looks great. One thing you could do, though, is make all of those images download silently (so that every time I go to another page, the background is already loaded). Not that its neccessary, but I'd like it better

... ummm... maybe you could help me with that. I can't even figure out how to layer items in dreamweaver (I know it should be possible because you could do it in GoLive).

This is probably as basic as you can get, but this is how I do it: CODE<table border=0 cellpadding=2 cellspacing=0 width=10><tr> <td background='image5.png|0'></td> <td background='image2.png|0'></td> </tr></table> That code will automatically load "image5.png" and "image2.png" but because the column is 0 pixels, they will not appear on your site
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Ah, that makes sense. Thanks for sharing that. Now for layering thing... *goes on google*
poiru Profil: Moderator | By the way, try Lytebox instead of Lightbox. I find Lytebox better
Tanshin Profil: Penguin Pro | Wow, it does work much faster than lightbox... I'll consider that for sure
