I'm pleased to announce my new theme "Vista Seven" for Windows Vista:
 
 
 
 This theme is not very special. It has been made to fulfill a few requests which I have received from lots of people.
 
 Actually not all people like those fancy Vista themes having lots of transparency, stylish buttons, shell style, start menu, etc. Many people are satisfied with default Aero theme but they want to have a few features which are missing in default theme and which have been included in this theme:
 
 1. New Taskbar similar to Windows Seven.
 
 2. Transparent titlebar in Maximized windows. Note that the titlebar has glass even in maximized windows which you'll never get in any 3rd party Vista theme.
 
 3. New Shellstyle in Control Panel similar to Windows Seven.
 
 So its a theme which is similar to default Vista theme but having a few features taken from Windows Seven.

^^ haha. Thanks. I usually put a toolbar containing frequently used shortcuts there.

One point: On Vista the %windir% folder is just the "Windows" folder... isn't it?... And that's the only way to locate it when you extract it...

1. So... how is the taskbar different? It seems the same to me...

2. Yay transparency!

3. Yay shell style!

Oh and vista is so annoying... I extracted the files to desktop (Extracting to the Themes folder didn't work) and then I dragged them into the folder, and first vista asked me for administrative permission to move them, then the screen went black for about 5 seconds, then it was greyed and it asked me again for permission for a file action, and then the screen went black again for another 5 seconds, and then it finally moved them.

ARGH!!!

^^ The taskbar is slightly different than default one. The difference is in gradient. Its similar to Windows Seven taskbar. And the 5 seconds black screen was due to UAC.

Oh I knew it was due to UAC, I just thought I'd have a good old rant

I keep UAC turned on just because it's better safe than sorry, the annoying thing was that it asked me twice  

And change in gradient as in... it seems like the gloss is brighter... but that might just be my eyes
