McAfee identified vStart as spyware. Also after inslalling vStart my connection really slowed down wich lifted an eye brow. :beurk:

AndyQHW, you're reviving some topics without adding any extra useful information. This is not appreciated and you will be warned. Please don't do this again in the future. Your posting rights are taken for 14 days as well.

Excuse me Gruzz, I'm reviving this rather old topic to inform you that I think you have infringed upon AndyQHW's rights. He was not only pointing out something that he may have had experience with or had researched statistics on McAfee's performance, he was also stating a fact. I did a little research and as a matter of fact through several tests in comparison with an arrangement of apps over a bench along with several other anti-virus programs, McAfee is the second most known AVP to falsely detect some legit apps as viruses. You may do some research as well to confirm this as I'm not in liberty to post any links. So why is this relevant? It's relevant because of the possible error McAfee could of made that would divert some people from using vStart. Now I'm not telling people to download and try it, but when I scanned it with PC Doctor and F-Secure, no viral data was found. Penalize me if you must, almighty moderator, I'm just giving my opinion on the matter in no destructive or offensive way.

I don't think Gruzz took his rights because of dissing McAffee, but because he has been continiously posting on old topics (or so I guess).

And he wasn't stating the fact because McAfee has been proven to be rubbish, it was merely his opinion.

He is entitles to his opinion, but he has no reason adding it to a very old topic when it contains no actual useful information.

"...almighty moderator..." well that sounds rather haughty to me. Personally I'd take insult at that.

"...no destructive or offensive way." though there doesn't seem to be much reason in it either.

The above comments are correct. Usually I don't mind when older topics are revived, but not when no more valuable information is added. I see that he stated his opinion, but without further explanation this isn't worth much to us. On top of that, he did this with several topics and because of that his posting rights where withdrawn for 14 days. This was done on the 1st of September, so his posting rights have already been restored. I still welcome you to CrystalXP. But I must advise you to stay friendly, even when you disagree with someone.
