I downloaded Fedia's blue Live style, but I don't understand how to install Vistart.  I went to the homepage and downloaded it, and I couldn't believe that there were no instructions on installing it!!  Can someone please give us a detailed procedure for using it.  I was so frustrated that I clicked on the wrong thing and couldn't get my start menu to open, and to make matters worse I didn't install a restore point first.  Luckily I restarted things through Task manager and xp came back okay!  Can anyone with patience please provide some info. to those of use less knowledgeable?

Actually you don't have to install vistart, you can make it run at startup by selecting that function in options (botom arrow near shutdown>options). And it will run every time you start windows. Just make sure vistart folder doesn't get renamed or moved or deleted, or you will have to repeat the startup via options procedure.

I'm so sorry but I'm still totally lost!  I downloaded the file from the website in my general download folder, but where do you place the files afterward?  It came in parts, how do you combine them, and furthermore, I have no idea of what you mean by the bottom arrow, are you referring to the file or something on the start menu.  What burns me up  :beurk: is that there are no applications instructions at the home page!!!   Is the author just assuming that EVERYONE knows how to make his application work?  What up with that???

I'm sorry, this application has almost nothing that's not to understand. It is really really easy, so there is no need for a tutorial "how to install"
Extract the archive. You just run vistart.exe and use it, to add programs, just run them from vistart, the options menu is accessable. The folder contains all required files to run vistart, put it somewhere where you won't touch it, C:\program files for example, or just leave it in the default download location.

To make it run at startup:

I hope YOU undederstand

If still don't get it, download vistart installer, and just put the live startmenu.png (from the skin resource folder) to the install dir resource folder.
