optimalsupreme-ban Profil: Penguin | I know not try amiga os it has a side bar and was out first and doesnt take any resource at all Amiga Os
poiru Profil: Moderator | From a quick look on Wikipedia, Amiga OS is a seperate operating system. This sidebar is for Windows. For people who want to use Windows Most of us probably don't want to use another OS just for a sidebar.
Sharu Profil: New Penguin | Hi Great work, I love it. I tryed Desktop Sidebar, SysMetrix and Thoosje before I found your work on DeviantArt. But I have one problem, my current resolution is 1680 x 1050, and everytime I play a game, that doesn´t support this resolution, I have to replace the sidebar and all gadgets. One time I had to re- install Vista Rainbar, becuase I couldn´t remove the Uptime and the Date Reminder Gadget. Is there a way to provide that, or do I have to change my resolution, but I think, this wouldn´t help much, some games don´t support widescreen. Btw, I´m using WindowBlinds, Styler Toolbar and ViStart, and TuneUp Utilities is running too, hope that there are no conflicts. Greetz gore224
poiru Profil: Moderator | I'm glad you like it Just right-click on all gadgets, choose skin settings, and uncheck the "keep on screen" item. This should solve the problem.
Sharu Profil: New Penguin | OK, it works Thx a lot, wish u a nice day Greetz gore224

winniethepooh Profil: New Penguin | I too had the weather problem (weather not showing for cities other than US). Thanks Fedia and Gavatx for providing the solution!!! The Vista Rainbar is simply great... I really love this tool.. I need a help. I have 2 instances of the clock. But I want them to show different timezones. How do I make it one clock to show EST and other clock to show another timezone (say IST)

You need to edit the INI files in Program Files\Vista Rainbar\Skins\Gadgets\Horloge

Hello. 64-bit Rainbar is possible, but due to the fact that we don't have a 64-bit machine to test it on, it will not be released.
codenamem2k Profil: Big Penguin | Great piece of information fediaFedia Thanks a lot

I am willing to test it on my Vista SP1 X64 PC if you don't mind sending me the installer.

Alright thanks. But now I'm having another problem. What can I do about this?
|
You seem to play games? If so, this problem will occur because of the changing of the resolution. What you should do is right-click on each gadgets, select skin settings and uncheck the "Keep on screen" option. Then, move the gadgets to the right places and they won't change location if you play games
i1337! | Alright. Thanks alot for answering my questions.

No problem, enjoy Rainbar
fredo70 Profil: New Penguin | Hello
Is it possible to develop own gadgets?
Do you have a public interface? If yes, what language is used?
Thank you

mork1 Profil: New Penguin | Hello there, i am new to this forum and this is my first post, so please excuse if this post is not desired.
First: Really thx for this great sidebar ! I really enjoy it.
The gadgets are great, but I missed one. I am a winamp user and dont like the windows media player very much, so I searched for a winamp gadget, but didnt find any
So, while bothering google for a solution of my problem I found the gadget "SV-1 Rainmeter winamp remote" which also runs in rainbar. It has 4 exe Files to do basic control of winamp. Sadly, it doesnt fit in the sidebar as the media player plugin gadget and keeps outside of it. So I examined the ini File and found my solution.
-> I know use the media player gadget to control winamp
Here's how I did the trick:
1: download "SV-1 Rainmeter winamp remote" and extract it somewhere. e.g. to rainbar root directory
2: now open an ini from "SV-1 Rainmeter winamp remote" and open a ini for the media player gadget to edit it (in my case minimp.ini)
3: in the media player ini create a new variable that points to the 4 exe Files of "SV-1 Rainmeter winamp remote"
4: point the WMPFolder Variable to winamp (rename if you want)
5: copy the "actions" from the desired section (e.g MeterPlay, MeterNext etc.) from "SV-1 Rainmeter winamp remote" to the same sections in media player ini (delete "ButtonCommand" if you no longer need windows media player functinality)
6: leave "ButtonCommand" in section "MeterButton" as it is, but let it point to winamp (with the variable)
7: Thats it ... enjoy Rainbar with winamp control
My MiniMP.ini looks like this (may vary)
Code :
- [Variables]
- WinampFolder=c:\progra~1\winamp\
- CommandsFolder=c:\Programme\Vistar~1\Skins\Sv-1\Control\
- [MeterPlay]
- Meter=BUTTON
- ButtonImage=Play1.png
- X=43
- Y=7
- LeftMouseDownAction=!execute [!RainmeterShowMeter MeterPlayIMG] [!RainmeterRedraw]
- LeftMouseupAction=!execute [!RainmeterRedraw][#CommandsFolder#PlayPause.exe]
- MouseLeaveAction=!execute [!RainmeterHideMeter MeterPlayIMG] [!RainmeterRedraw]
