Can someone explain exactly how you update the previous version to the newest.  I have version three now and since I wasn't exactly sure how to update the older version, I removed it and did a new install of the latest version.  Is that the only way to update it?  Let me know please!

If you removed the old version, you'll have to reinstall rainmeter program. When installed, go to C:\program Files\Rainmeter\Skins
Copy the new "Sidebar" and "Gadgets" folders to that location. Also don't forget to copy the new plugins folder if to C:\program Files\Rainmeter\
Then run the rainmeter.exe and select your config for the sidebar. It should work then!

When I change the City, State, and Zip for "Meteo". The weather doesn't show up. Only the Degrees Celsius comes up. No actual weather. Yes, I did refresh gadget.

You sure that you entered correct information? This shouldn't happen, weather works fine for even small cities...

This a new discovery for me. I thought I'd found/tried all the Vista sidebar emulations available till I stumbled across this one. Haven't tried it yet but will do. Just in case any of you are unaware, the 'real' Vista Sidebar has been ported to XP via a separate project elsewhere on the net. It's called "Rick's Sidebar". Installation is not exactly a breeze, but it uses exact same gadgets as the Vista one (since it is the exact same sidebar).

I kept it for a while till the 'novelty' wore off, and since I don't have a widescreen monitor it's not really practical to have a sidebar anyway 'cos most of the time it's obscured by program windows which need to be fully expanded on my 17" 4:3 screen. If I had a w/s monitor I'd definitely put a sidebar back on 'cos I think that's one of the few useful bits to come out of Vista.

I am now using this, the gadgets are better than the sidebar I used to use (Thoosje's).

This is best side bar I have found!  It uses really low sys res. & once you get the hang of it, it is a breeze.   Got to love fediaFedia!  thx for this man!  

I just tested this on my laptop and works smoothly. Much better than Thoosje Sidebar! Good work Gavatx and Fedia.

Using the sidebar might seem hard at first, but this is much better than many other sidebars (Like Thoosje Sidebar)..

Legace, your installer is perfect. On the next version, hope it will ask for the destination folder so it can be installed in the Rainmeter folder.

Yeah, I am going to update the installer soon. It'll also support the chaning of the destination folder.

I've noticed some bugs:

It's still french, tho it's said to be the english version, just needs a quick fix.

then as another bug i found, i can't move the recicle bin somehow dno why

and this weather forcast thing also does not show me the weather to be sure i checked it with the biggest city nearby - Hamburg - and still i didn't get any forcast

but besides that the program is amazing great work

ok, meteo123.com doesn't have hamburg or german cities in data i guess, that's why i don't get forcast. too bad

The battery gadget is easy fixable, I'll notify gavatx about that.
You have to move the recycle bin by dragging it with the menu that appears on the right top corner of it (see readme)
You should have searched weather.com, I found your city there: http://www.weather.com/outlook/travel/busi.../local/GMXX0049
The zip code is GMXX0049

Sorry for the batery bug, I didn't see it earlier. It will be fixed in next update.

For the moment, you should do the following :
- Close the batery gadget
- Put it : http://www.zshare.net/download/1500282513c61653/ in CProgram Files/Vista Rainbar/Gadgets/Batterie, accept the replacement
- Launch the gadget again

To move the recycle bin, you have to drag it using the mouseover menu (see picture in the Read-me)

No problem with Hamburg, as Fedia said, just put GMXX0049 as zip code.

Edit : Are you sure to use english version ? cause meteo123.com is the french site to find cities (Hamburg is Hambourg etc...)
